FAQ’s

FAQ – Lymphatic Drainage & Sculpt Massage

1. What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique that stimulates the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins, reduce swelling, support immune health, and encourage natural detoxification. It’s a clinical technique, not a typical “relaxation” massage.

2. What’s the difference between MLD and Brazilian Sculpt Massage?

Original Vodder MLD focuses on detoxification, fluid movement, and medical-grade results, while Brazilian Sculpt Massage uses more dynamic movements to contour the body, reduce bloating, and create visible shape and tone. I combine both methods to give you the most effective treatment possible.

3. What conditions or concerns does this treatment help with?

✔ Water retention

✔ Bloating & puffiness

✔ Poor circulation

✔ Post-surgical recovery (e.g., liposuction)

✔ Cellulite & skin tone

✔ Immune system support

✔ Hormonal bloating

✔ General detoxification

4. How soon will I see results?

Many clients feel and see results after just one session; a lighter body, more defined contours, reduced swelling, and improved digestion. However, a series of sessions brings the most lasting change.

5. How often should I book?

To maintain results, I recommend treatments every 2–4 weeks, depending on your goals. For post-op recovery or detox programs, a short intensive course may be suggested.

6. What should I wear or do before my appointment?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing, avoid heavy meals beforehand, and drink plenty of water to support lymph movement. I’ll guide you through all pre- and post-treatment advice for best results.

7. Why are prices increasing?

This new direction reflects not only the thousands invested in advanced training but also the clinical precision, bespoke care, and visible results these treatments offer. You’re receiving the highest level of expertise and tailored treatment, and your results will reflect that.

8. Are these treatments relaxing or clinical?

They’re both. While rooted in clinical principles and technique, the treatments are incredibly calming, helping to reduce stress and nervous system overload while sculpting and detoxifying.

9. Is this treatment suitable for everyone?

Most people benefit from lymphatic work, but there are some contraindications. You’ll be asked to complete a thorough consultation form to ensure safety and best outcomes.

FAQ - Pregnancy Massage

1. Is pregnancy massage safe?

Yes! When performed by a trained therapist, pregnancy massage is completely safe during the second and third trimesters. It can help reduce swelling, ease aches, and support overall wellbeing.

2. When can I start having pregnancy massages?

Treatments are typically recommended from 13 weeks onwards. Always check with your midwife or healthcare provider first if you have any high-risk factors.

3. What position will I lie in during the massage?

You’ll be positioned comfortably on your side with support cushions to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the treatment.

4. What are the main benefits?

Reduced lower back and hip pain, improved sleep, decreased stress and anxiety, and reduced swelling (oedema) in the legs and feet.

5. Can you do deep tissue during pregnancy?

We avoid deep pressure during pregnancy and instead use safe, specific techniques to release tension without affecting circulation or the uterus.

FAQ - Hot Stones Massage

1. What is a hot stones massage?

It’s a deeply relaxing treatment using smooth, heated stones placed on key points of the body to ease muscle tension and promote calm.

2. What are the benefits?

Improved circulation, reduced muscle stiffness, deep relaxation, better sleep, and reduced stress levels.

3. Is it suitable for everyone?

Most people can enjoy hot stones, but it’s not recommended if you have certain conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, or skin sensitivity. We’ll always do a full consultation first.

4. Will the stones be too hot?

No – the stones are heated to a safe, comfortable temperature and checked throughout the treatment. You’ll never be left feeling uncomfortable.

5. How is it different to a regular massage?

The heat from the stones allows muscles to relax more quickly and deeply, enhancing the therapeutic effect of the massage.

FAQ - Deep Tissue Massage

1. What is deep tissue massage?

Deep tissue targets deeper layers of muscle and fascia to help release chronic tension, knots, and restrictions in movement.

2. Is it painful?

You may feel some discomfort in tighter areas, but it should never be painful. We’ll always work with your tolerance and communicate throughout the session.

3. Who is it best suited for?

It’s great for people with chronic tension, postural imbalances, athletes, or anyone who prefers a firmer, therapeutic touch.

4. What results can I expect?

Improved range of motion, reduced muscle tightness and pain, faster recovery from injury or training, and long-term posture improvement.

5. Will I feel sore afterwards?

Some muscle soreness can occur, like after a workout. Staying hydrated and applying heat at home can help, and this usually eases within 24–48 hours.
